Conflict resolution builds upon trust, respect, and dignity. At Clarity Mediations, mediation is a voluntary process in which two or more people engage to resolve or learn how to manage conflict in a healing, supportive environment.

Conversations are facilitated by the mediator to help each person clarify and communicate intentions, desires, needs and their realities. The people who come to Clarity are entrusted to work for the best interest of themselves, their spouses or partners, their children and their work, worship or other community. This self-determination is an integral part of the mediation process: it respects the wisdom, caring and capabilities of each person. At times, a third party is needed to bring these innate qualities to the fore. The mediator helps achieve this through:

  • Careful listening
  • Facilitating
  • Gently Guiding
  • Exploring Options
  • Providing Information
  • Referring to other professional resources
